By way of introduction, my name is Michelle and I have been scrapbooking for about 8 years. A couple of weeks ago, I was reading the May/June 2007 issue of Simple Scrapbooks Magazine - one of my favorite scrapbook resources. It features an article entitled “Gimme 5.” The premise of the article was to get back to basics and limit yourself to using only 5 products to create a layout. Simple enough.

I liked the idea so much that I invited a friend of mine to join me in this challenge. She accepted.

Since we both use Creative Memories albums rather than top-loaders that require that you use cardstock as your page base, we limited ourselves to 4 products per page.
