Scrapbooking Opportunities

I am always looking for new ideas and new ways to challenge myself as a scrapbooker. I couldn’t wait to take the paper bag book class that was offered at my local Recollections. What I haven’t talked about is that they frequently offer a variety of classes. On one of my most recent trips to the store, they gave me a schedule of their upcoming classes. They have several classes that look interesting, at least to me. Two that particularly caught my eye were the Family Favorites Recipe Album class and the Daisy D Crop.

In the Family Favorites Recipe Album participants will have the opportunity to decorate a 12″x7″album, and then fill it with their family’s favorite recipes. The class is offered on August 18 and September 11 and costs $60.

The Daisy D’s Crops are scheduled for September 14 and 15th and it looks like everyone who partipates will receive a free Daisy Ds page kit. There will also be drawings for door prizes.

Unfortunately Recollections only has stores in Arizona, Texas, Maryland and Virginia, so not everyone can take advantage of these opportunities, but I still wanted to share. I don’t know if I will make it to either of the events either, so if anyone does go, please let me know what they think of the class(es). If I do wind up going, you know that I will share what I made and my thoughts on the class.

I have posted instructions for creating the paper-bag scrapbooks here on the blog – http://scrappyhour.wordpress.com/2007/07/04/paper-bag-book-how-to/.
