Well, it looks like we have a quiet Sunday planned, which is a good thing. Friday night, we had the Pinewood Derby for Cub Scouts. My son’s car didn’t make it to the semis but we had several boys from his Den do very well – top three places. Here is my son with his car:
Then, yesterday, I took my boys to go see my friend’s new baby:
Can you believe that she is only 13 days old? She is absolutely gorgeous and seems to be a very good baby. I am looking forward to spoiling her.
While we were there, the boys were almost more interested in my friend’s cat. She is a tiny Himalayan cat who sheds a lot. Well, she used to shed a lot. They had her shaved on Thursday, and the cat is none too happy about it. Every time she enters the room, my friend’s husband starts talking like he is hosting a nature show tracking a mighty lion. The boys thought it was funny and had a really good time.

And you were afraid that the car would be girly. Not with me being involved.
Yes, once my children got that much hair they started getting buzz cuts… and neither of them had near that much hair until they were about 2 years old. Certainly not at 2 weeks.
Poor kitty. I guess she is the king of the jungle until her fur grows back.
