Up to the Challenge…Maybe

One of my friends/co-workers just had back surgery so I am keeping her in my prayers. I have heard that she did well with the surgery and could be able to go home within a few days.

Another friend/co-worker, who is an experienced cardmaker, and I have talked a little bit about my move into cardmaking. Well today, we were talking about our mutual friend who is recovering from surgery and making cards for her. Some how, this evolved into a challenge to see who can make the better get well card for our friend. Now, we are to the point where we are each supposed to design a get well card for our friend by Friday and we are going to get a neutral colleague to judge the cards. We will give the neutral judge both un-signed cards in an envelope so that they will not know who made which card.

I am probably in way over my head with this challenge so please be cheering me on. I will be sure to let you know the outcome of our little competition and hopefully will be able to post photos of both cards so you can judge for yourselves.

  1. I don’t think I have ever been a part of a challenge, although I suggested it.

This is going to be very interesting…

  2. you made 2 cards already?!? Don’t think for a minute that you can spend an hour making the potential winning card… I will spend that amount of time alone just conjuring the card-making Gods for my card this evening!

  3. I must say that I am impressed. I am looking forward to seeing what you design and produce.

  4. I’m in. Concepting last night… Materializing tonight!

  5. So, are you in? I made 2 cards already but I’m not 100% convinced that either one is quite right.

  6. game on…

  7. So, you are going to participate and not use your staff artist? I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

  8. I will win said challenge!
