A Honey of a Card

Okay, I think that this is my last challenge card for the weekend. Despite my children’s opinions my card really was inspired by this sketch from Card Patterns:

Okay, I kind of turned the sketch on its side and went a bit crazy but it really did inspire this card:

I’d love to hear your thoughts. Did I devitate too much from the sketch like my boys think or can you still see the inspiration?

  1. Very creative card! The sketch is there as inspiration for you to do what you want with it – no worries there! Thanks for joining us this week!

  2. I think you did a great take on the sketch! Sometimes our cards end up looking EXACTLY like the sketch, and sometimes the interpretation is very loose. It’s just a starting point. I love your take- Winnie the Pooh is just adorable.

    Thanks for joining us.

  3. Personal opinion, sketches are just guidelines. I did deviate on our sketch this week as well but that’s also to show that we can do other things with it. BRT is right, sometimes, we get more satisfaction having a finished product that’s our own, regardless it’s from a sketch. Thanks for playing along with us this week!

  4. I think you have made a lovely job of your take on the sketch. You are allowed to turn things around and add your own touches!Such a fun card, well done!

  5. Thank you for all of your support. I keep trying to explain to the boys that the sketch is the starting point and that turning it and adding my own touches is expected, but they tend to be a bit too literal sometimes.

  6. It may have gone off the beaten path but at those moments we seem to get the most satisfaction! BR-T

  7. Such a cute card! I see the sketch in that card 🙂 Love Winnie the Pooh.

  8. (Hello I am a random person linked from Card Patterns) You did deviate a bit, but I think the patterns are just springboards. Do with it whatever you will! It looks great!
