The challenge over at Cute Card Thursday is to use punches and die cuts. I remembered that I had bathtub die-cuts from back in the day and I thought that would be perfect with the StampinBella Alexis’ Bad Hair Day stamp. I used papers from a Making Memories Spring Fling pack and was inspired by the new card sketch over at Sheetload of Cards. Here is what I came up with:
I used a flowery border punch on the pink and on the vellum shower current (which is hard to see in the photo). I also used the Creative Memories bubble maker to allow some of the blue to show through like bubbles coming up from the bathtub. I colored Alexis using water color pencils and chalk pencils for the face and hair. While I think that there are little things that I could tweak to improve the card, I am happy with the overall concept.
